A series of six yoga, movement and mindfulness sessions, built around New Unity’s Sunday Gathering themes
Guiding you through gentle movement and stretches, these sessions will help you to create some nourishing physical and mental space for yourself.
This week's theme is 'joy: the situation is hopeless but not serious’. How we can practice humility, learning to step back and remember what is outside of our responsibility and control, and remembering how to laugh at ourselves.
The sessions are led by New Unity member Charlie George, a qualified Hatha yoga teacher and dance artist.
Cost: £5 suggested donation. Please feel free to give less if you can’t afford it and more if you'd like to additionally support this project.
What to bring: A yoga/exercise mat if you have one. Spares are available.
What to wear: Loose-fitting clothing you feel comfortable moving in and something warm to put on at the end.
Do I have to be flexible/fit? No! These sessions are for everyone, regardless of age or fitness. It's all about working within your individual comfort level.
Can I come if I have an impairment/disability? Yes! Please chat directly to Charlie about how she can support you to participate safely and work from wherever you are towards where you want to be.
Do I need to commit to all six sessions? The sessions are designed to be self-contained, so you don’t need to attend the full course. But attending multiple sessions will help you to get more out of the experience.
