The SMD, developed by disabled individuals, challenges traditional perspectives that view disability solely as a medical issue or due to a person's impairment. Instead, it emphasizes that disability arises from societal barriers—be they physical, attitudinal, or systemic—that hinder individuals from full participation in society.

This training aims to shed light on how societal structures contribute to disability and will explore strategies to foster a more inclusive environment by addressing and dismantling these barriers. Attendees will gain valuable insights into promoting equality and accessibility within the community.
