Does the thought of talking about race make you tighten up? Fear you'll say the wrong thing, in the wrong way, to the wrong person? What if we're racist? Just a teeny bit racist? What if we've overlooked something important? What if we're part of the problem? How do we do better? How do we look at something that makes us uncomfortable and push for change within ourselves and our network? How do we do this together, without alienating or 'othering' each other? Is that even possible!? Let's find out!
Join us for an interactive participatory event focused on race. This event will include performance, shared personal histories and wider histories of race relations within the UK. A lively workshop and discussion on how we can talk about race, tackle racism and improve New Unity's role in being a force for positive change in race relations.
If you can, please bring some food to share for lunch.
This event is free, but to reserve your place please accept the invite that's listed on our Facebook Group.
